Julian

My name is Julian Saldierna (class of 2012) and I am a 3 year former member of FIRST Team 2936 “The Gatorzillas”. FIRST and “The Gatorzillas” literally changed the path that I was taking for the better. FIRST and The Gatorzillas inspired me to make a change which caused a chain reaction of opportunities. Robotics made me realize the importance of technology which caused me to want to major in Mechanical Engineering. Because of Robotics I was able to receive an internship at NASA/JSC for the summer of 2012 working and learning with both Computer and Electrical engineers. Having so many accomplishments, due to robotics, and an internship at NASA/JSC typed down on my resume gave me an advantage when I applied for a North American Mobility Grant (NAMG) which would allow me to study abroad in Canada for a semester studying about “Green building Techniques.” Due to FIRST and all the awesome mentors help, I am currently at the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) for the spring semester of 2013.
